A Major Milestone for Humanitarian Digital Health!

Today, we’re proud to share a breakthrough that shows what’s possible when science, technology, and compassion come together.

Our latest research now published in JMIR Research Protocols describes the creation of the world’s first validated mental health screener and interactive resiliency course for Ukrainian refugees.

This free, 24/7 online program provides immediate, stigma-free support to anyone with an internet connection. It’s being built alongside, and culturally adapted by, displaced Ukrainian engineers at Softhouse Group. Offering advice and guidance is leading Ukrainian MD/PhD Dr. Sofiia Lahutina.

Beyond its humanitarian impact, this achievement:

  • Proves our platform can be rapidly customized and deployed anywhere in the world
  • Enables aid organizations to launch their own branded version, in any language, with full access to usage data
  • Lays the groundwork for AI-driven interactive services that can personalize support and improve outcomes for individuals over time

The first phase, the launch of the Ukrainian mental health screener, is now live. In a few weeks we will be launching the English version of the interactive resiliency course, followed by the Ukrainian version, which is currently being coded by Softhouse Group.

This project was made possible with support from Larta Institute and the Gilead Foundation.

If you know a representative of an organization serving displaced Ukrainians, who works in digital health innovation, or conducts research in mental health, we’d welcome the chance to connect with them.

Thank you for helping us take another step toward making effective mental health support available to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Please help us increase awareness on your personal social networks with sample posts below my signature.
