Being into my third day, this message was very inspirational. I'm bound and determined to be a non-smoker. I can feel my body react to not smoking and find it interesting to experience day to day life minus nicotene. One day, one hour, one minute, one second at a time.

Today is my day three and I'll tell you what I'm not craving to smoke, I just want to feel better. I can't sleep and I can't drink enough water. While I am so proud of myself, I don't have the energy to celebrate! Funny how you can feel worse when you quit smoking, then when you were a smoker. I look forward to the days ahead, when this gets easier. You know I have been able to smell my perfume all day without a fresh squirt. Thank you Rusty for all of your encouraging words. I feel confident this time, that with the help of this web site I will be able to quit sucessfully.

Thanks rusty, I'm on day three and you're posts are helping me to get going. My day three: or ok lets make a deal.
SO today the cravings were very bad, pretty much at the end of my ability to put up with it, so I went into dealing phase, Trying to talk myself into letting myself smoke. I actually talked myself into it, but decided to put it off until tommorrow. One day at a time! Thats my motto for day three. Hopefully day four I'll tell myself the same thing. The healing has started, though it feels pretty bad, like I just chain smoked a couple of packs, but since I didn't I know this is the feeling of healing.
