Hello Family,

It is so good to return back to everyone full of support and cheerful to see another quitter in the group. I must say I appreciate all of the help. I am still smoke free to this day and I have given away all of my cig's knowing I am over the OH GOD GIVE ME A CIG. (or FAG) but with all the criticism now days I will call it a cig.. laughing...

Thanks for the support, I am just plugging along trying to bring all of my family with me to the non smoking side of life. My mom and brother have been wanting to quit for some time now and I think I gave them the confidence to stop and never look back..

Lots of positive attitude in this center. Positive attitude is so important. Everyone is great and since we all have fought the same fight there is lots of great advice and support. Thanks to all.

My quit is private to me and who ever post on this page, I was a very private smoker anyway. First week seems very similar to other first weeks i've experienced in the past but i've got a few things going on different in my life now so its not the same old routine every day. Also am taking commit lozenge, anyone have any experience with it?

Extremest! May I suggest that instead of destroying the cigarettes you give them away to a smoker that you know, (one that is not trying to quit at the moment) as a gesture to yourself of confidence in your quit. You are through the worst of it, and if you can stop yourself at the point that you did, then you don't need them anymore. Let the temptation go! It will give you a huge boost in knowing that you really are on your way to freedom from that awful drug! That was a huge test and you passed it with flying colors, now reward yourself, give them away as a gift to someone else and revel in your success!
