I awoke this morning with a nightmare about work. These nightmares never stop, and there isn't a theme I've noticed. One colleague pointed to his nametag, showing a promotion. He rarely gave me the time of day in our "real" world, and I had to pick up after when he cowardly dumped a major project on me. I did a good job at that project.

What amazes me about behaviour is that if the person is willing, not only can she Stop what she wishes, she can also choose her behaviours. Just remember your need to impress at a job interview, or being charming with someone you wish to get along with.

Dennis Weaver was an actor, and speaks from the experience of a person who made his living from changing his behaviour according to the circumstances.

If only I could remember that I can change that behaviour.

Not completely ignoring failure is important.

Maybe we need a new perception of failure to replace it. For so long we have looked at it as something bad rather than as a control. Like the word "hate" I have replaced it with dislike. There must be a milder form of "failure", something more acceptable. Failure is only a mistake, and we all make them. I made a big one yesterday and today I am paying but in no way do I think of it as failure in a bad sense. It happened and I will live with it. Or not, the choice is mine.
