Yep, I remember being dizzy and having this weird "spacey" feeling, which I think someone here said is withdrawals from the carbon monoxide in cigarettes; weird, huh? All of the physical stuff does go away, just not quite as fast as we'd like. Hang in there, you are doing great! One day, one minute at a time.

I really am NOT trying to scare anyone. I had dizziness every morning for 10 day, it would go away in 5 or 10 minutes. Ten days later I had a stroke. I am not saying All dizziness is a symptom and the symptoms I had before stroke were definately Mild and not at all classic.
But if the dizziness is not resolved. it should be checked.. could be low BP, a change in your sinus from not smoking, being dehydrated also can cause dizziness.
Your body gives you signals.. and I would rather it be something minor but listen to your body.

Judy,
I remember feeling just as you described. I didn't take Zyban but I was dizzy for a long time after I quit. Everyone's quit is different but you are not the only one to experience this side affect. I know a few others as well. Your body is adjusting to not having nicotine. There were times I had to stop because I thought I was going to pass out. Drink plenty of water. It seems to help for some reason. You really didn't feel better when you smoked. That is just the junkie inside you trying to get you to give up your quit. Don't let it happen. Keep marching forward. You are doing great!

I called my Doctor today & have an appointment to see him tomorrow. I need my meds adjusted since I'm not smoking. I'm on the last stage of the patch & my eyes feel like they have medicine head. especially when I'm driving. So I suck on a lozenge for a little bit & it goes away for a few hours.

Judy you may want to have your blood pressure checked. I would call the Dr's office.. maybe you have a middle ear infection.
Hope you are feeling better soon. Hang in there, it feels kind of crappy now.. but in the long run you will be glad..

After you quit youll be absorbing more oxygen through your lungs than your body has been accustomed to. The dizziness may come once or twice a day for a few days. It usually lasts only one or two seconds, and is gone before you have time to do anything about it.
Take extra caution in the things that you do, such as standing up slowly. Visit your doctor if your dizziness persists as tobacco use can often mask other existing medical conditions.

I quit smoking at 8pm, 17 March which was 10 days ago today. I took Zyban and after the 4th day, i stopped taking it because it made me feel like i was in a fog and very dizzy. well, today is day 10 and I am still feeling dizzy. Even though I stopped taking the Zyban and smoking, should I still be feeling this way? I am so ready for all of this to be over and start feeling like normal again. To be honest, I felt better when I smoked. Any ideas?
